3d Scanning
3-D scanning is the very latest in survey technology, measuring many thousands of points per second. This technology has many uses including:
- Collecting very rich architectural detail and presenting this information at scales of 1:10 or greater.
- Photogrammetry, where photographs are corrected to give reliable information on size and shape of objects.
- Very detailed 3-D surveys of structures such as bridges or pipelines. These surveys can be used for modelling or for accessing relative movement.
- Accurate volume measurement.
